The infant church functioned as a grassroots movement—everyone shared a common calling to tell the world about Jesus, and the church grew exponentially! But a seismic shift occurred in our church history that resulted in the responsibility of taking Jesus to the world is relegated to only a select few. This is not the biblical idea for the church! Yet, for generations, the evil one has done a great job of undermining the effectiveness of the bride of Christ. We see in many of our churches today folks comfortably sitting back and watching someone else do the work that Jesus wants to do through them.
In this message, Pete Briscoe answers the question about why there’s a lack of enthusiasm among the priesthood of believers and how we all have a part to play if the church is to return to the early days of being an incredibly effective force.
