There’s nothing natural about sitting in a room with someone you hardly know and being asked probing questions about your most personal feelings, fears, and struggles. And if that’s not enough to deter you, there’s also a negative stigma attached to people who seek counseling.
So, why even bother? After all, Christians seek counsel from God and each other—isn’t that enough? It might not be if you’re feeling stuck in life—lost in a dying marriage or relationship, held hostage from a traumatic past event, or self-medicating to relieve your pain.
Sometimes we need help to admit that we need help.
In this message, Pete Briscoe will show you biblically the appropriateness and importance of seeking counsel, so that nothing holds you back from fully experiencing Life in Christ.
