Do you get uncomfortable in small gatherings? As believers, we’re encouraged to join a small group, but they can be intimidating and downright awkward at first. Sometimes it's just easier to come and go from church, but when you do that, you never really connect with anyone, and you remain isolated.
Jesus knew the importance of small, intimate groups of believers. In fact, one of the first things He did in ministry was gathering His disciples—a group that remained His “circle” for the entirety of His earthly ministry.
Pete Briscoe tells the story of the very first circle of believers and shares how being in a tight-knit group is worth the initial discomfort of joining one. There’s a richness found in small groups that can be experienced nowhere else.
